User survey (filled out by my roommates)

Roommate: Jordan
Should the house page be first on the list, as apposed to the search page?
Since functionality is key, the search bar should go first so that it will be easily accessible.

What would you prefer to see on the first page, map, listing, or both?
The house page is most aesthetically pleasing, but the search page is more practical on startup. I prefer the split view, since that is how google maps works, I think that is how people are most used to.

Does it bother you that it shows all listings at the zero state, not just listings in your price range, or change zero state altogether?
I think that it should be launched into the search function so that it shows things that are appropriate to each individual user.

Are there any features that you feel are unnecessary, or should be moved to secondary navigation?
No, I don’t think things need to move to secondary nav, but I do think that the icons need to be moved around (see notes).

Are there any additional features that you wish the app had?
Ads? Discounts? Referrals for local service providers? Pay for the app?

Would you prefer push notifications, or emails when new search results are listed? Maybe a preference to set that function?
Preference to set that within the person icon, with default push notifications on startup.

Word, i think its greeeeeat.

Should the house page be first on the list, as apposed to the search page?
No, I don’t think I would like that, usually when I’m opening the app, I’m searching for new things in my app. then managing my finds.

What would you prefer to see on the first page, map, listing, or both?
I feel like the map gives you a good place to start with, and is a little less open-ended. You can search through neighborhoods and then that can lead into a more precise search.

Does it bother you that it shows all listings at the zero state, not just listings in your price range?
No. I think that’s normal, I have to plug that information in.

Are there any features that you feel are unnecessary, or should be moved to secondary navigation?

No. I think they are all things that I would like to have easily available.

Are there any additional features that you wish the app had?
It might be fun to have it connect to rentals as a secondary option. Connect to moving resources, or services.

Would you prefer push notifications, or emails when new search results are listed? Maybe a preference to set that function?
I think you should let people choose if they want one, or none, or the other.

1 This user flow is pretty basic, I feel like the pop app does a better job of explaining user flow.
2 3 4 Updated wire frames based on the first round of pop app testing.

Project2-mood mood boards for app ideas, typography, color, style, etc.
