I finished the POP version of these wireframes and got some great feedback. Mostly, the ‘app’ got great reviews after I explained what would eventually be the onboarding process (still need to wireframe that part…). Some helpful comments I got included some confusion about what the “Selector bar” on the budget page is or does (I think this can be explained in onboarding and will be much more intuitive to figure out when it actually functions). Another comment was, “The only thing that would make this app more helpful would be a spot that compares amount spent in each category for each month. Could be used as a way to create goals”. There is in fact a section that shows this comparison, although it may be too hidden away at the moment.
Both users agreed that the user-defined categories made sense, as well as the home screen and the navigational system.
Here are user flows; I created one for the onboarding even though I haven’t wireframed the slides yet. The other is for how the user interacts with the app after the initial set up.
